Today (23 July 2020) at 10.00 AM., Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment by Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation organized a press conference to state that MNRE will hold "Tiger World Day 2020" between 25 July – 2 August 2020 under the theme "Roar for Thai Tigers."
Mr. Prakit Wongsriwattanakul, Deputy Director General of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, presides over the press conference at the main meeting room, Kritsama Phutthi Building, Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation. According to the tentative plan of organizing the World Tiger Day this year, there will be exhibitions about tiger conservation in various formats for 4 zones on the 5th floor, Bangkok Art and Culture Center. There will be an official opening ceremony on 29 July 2020 at 14.00 hrs.
In this event, H.E. Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, will be the chair of the event and participate in a panel on "Thai Forest with Tigers" together with a discussion on the success of tiger conservation in Thailand. Moreover, there will be a mini panel of tiger talk of joined organizations on the topic of "The Future of Thai Tigers, The Future of the World Tigers."
