Today (2 Nov 2020), Mr. Jatuporn Buruspat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and the chief executives of MNRE joined the meeting to discuss the tourism sector's economic recovery. General Prayuth Chan-o-cha, the Prime Minister, acted as a chairman of the meeting at the hotel Duangjitt Resort and Spa, Phuket Province.
General Prayuth Chan-o-cha, the Prime Minister of Thailand, has reiterated support for the tourism sector in both the short and long term and promotes tourism, the entire cycle of health tourism, sports, and large conferences. This policy is to create a new dimension of sustainable tourism and accommodate the impact of the crisis in the future.
Moreover, the government and private sectors need to cooperate and prioritize the rescue and promote tourism in the country. This measure aims for Thai people to travel across provinces to support the tourism industry of Thailand. The important thing is that the government has to take care of all citizens, entrepreneurs, and farmers of all regions, regardless of the budget, for maximum benefit for Thailand's immunity when facing a new crisis in the future.
