MNRE Joins Forces with TEI – TBCSD – BEDO to Drive “Triple Planetary Crisis” Initiative, Transforming Environmental Crises into Opportunities for a Sustainable Future
BANGKOK, APRIL 23, 2026, 10:00 AM — Miss Preeyaporn Suwanaged, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), assigned by Dr. Raweewan Bhuridej, Permanent Secretary for Natural Resources and Environment, presided over the opening of the seminar titled “Triple Planetary Crisis: Transforming Crises into Opportunities, Building Pathways to a Sustainable Future.” On this occasion, she delivered a keynote address on “Policy Directions and Thailand’s Role Toward Sustainable Development.” The event was organized through a collaboration between the Biodiversity-Based Economy Development Office (Public Organization) or BEDO, the Thailand Environment Institute (TEI), and the Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development (TBCSD), with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The event was held at the Phra Shiva Room, 3rd Floor, Asawin Grand Convention Hotel, Laksi District, Bangkok. The objective of this seminar was to enhance knowledge and understanding regarding the "Global Environmental Crisis" or the Triple Planetary Crisis, which comprises three critical issues: climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental pollution. These crises exert severe impacts on the economy, society, and the quality of life of the citizenry. The forum focused on the exchange of knowledge and the formulation of integrated operational guidelines at both the policy and local levels to drive concrete solutions and connect all sectors toward development.
