On this day (20th October 2022) at 09.30, Mr, Jatuporn Buruspat, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environments, was the chairperson of the conference No. 11/2022 for considering the land uses in the national reserved forests. Mr. Surachai Aajalaboon, the Director General of the Ministry of Forestry, was the secretary. The experts and committees from responsible organizations attended the conference at the auditorium on the 17th floor of the building of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environments with the video conference system in order to consider the land uses in the national reserved forests and to emphasize on complying with regulations and land developments by considering the public benefits without destroying the natural resources and environments in the areas.
At the conference, the resolution approved the land uses in the mangrove forests close to the national reserved forests for living in the communities according to the government’s policies (DOL) in Ban Bang Rin Community (Hau Tha Bang Rin) in Moo 2, Bang Rin Sub-District, Mueang Ranong District, Ranong Province. There were 15 approved applications about the areas in the national reserved forests from the public and private sectors such as the application for using the area in Pa Don Ma Sarng National Reserved Forest in order to build the Petchburi Office of the Tourism of Thailand, the application for using or living in the areas in Mae Sai Kham National Reserved Forest in order to build a cement factory, and activities about the businesses of Thai Cement (Lampang) Company Limited.
There was the resolution approving the 18 applications of the public organizations to use the lands in the forests since the applications were delayed according to the resolution of the cabinet on 23rd June 2020 and the resolution of the cabinet on 11th May 2021. This included the exemption of the Article 12 of the regulations on using the lands in the national reserved forests regarding criteria, methods and conditions for workplaces or other uses by the public organizations in the national reserved forests B.E. 2565 and the discussions about the orders in the meeting No. 2/2022 of the committees on occupational and marketing developments.
