On this day (31th October 2022) at 09.30, Mr. Varawut Silapa-acha, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environments, and Mr. Thalerngsak Petchsuwan, the Deputy Permanent Secretary, attended the National Committee Meeting in order to prepare the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting and relevant meetings while Thailand is the host of the APEC 2022 with the cabinet, commanders, governor of Bangkok and relevant organizations. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense, was the chairperson in the meeting at Santimaitri Building (Outer Building), the Government House.
The prime minister appreciated all organizations mutually preparing the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting since it was considered as working for Thailand and Thai people. This meeting is for the final preparation before the APEC 2020, which will begin on 14th November 2022 and end on 19th November 2022. It will be a completely face-to-face forum. The last day of the forum will announce the next host that will be the United States of America.
At the meeting, the agendas that were considered and discussed were the acknowledge of the operating results of the sub-committees and the acceptances to attend the meetings from the economic corridors including the leaders and representatives from the 21 economic corridors. Moreover, the APEC 2022, which is hosted by Thailand, consists of the main meetings of the private sector including the 4th ABAC, the APEC CEP Summit with the speaker who will be the prime minister, and the discussions of the leaders of APEC economic leaders in order to share opinions and consider urgent issues for environmentally improving the economic cooperation. Therefore, this APEC will be interested by the private sector and many investors in Thailand and other countries.
