On this day (30th March 2023) at 01.00 p.m., Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, the Minister for Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), had a special speech, Go Green: Thailand Roadmap, in Go Green 2023 Business Goal to the Next Era Seminar held by Bangkok Business. Public organizations, private organizations and leading business networks joined the seminar at Renaissance Ratchaprasong Hotel Bangkok in order to exchange their visions about green businesses and change the business directions of Thailand in order to make profits while creating environmental sustainability for entering the low carbon communities in the future.

MNRE mentioned about the problematic climate changes that leaders around the world emphasize on. According to the Global Risks Report 2023 at the World Economic Forum, it was found that the economic risk factors around the world in the next 10 years will be related to the effects from five climate changes. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment made plans and guidelines for solving all problems in all phases. Thailand’s long-term gas emission development strategies or

LT-LEDS that all sectors must mutually drive were improved, and the 2nd Updated National Determined Contribution (NDC) is being prepared in order to set a goal to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions for 40% by 2030 in order to reduce greenhouse gases and achieve net zero emissions by 2065 and carbon neutrality by 2050 through driving main activities for handling the climate changes in the energy sector, transportation sector, industrial sector, waste sector, agricultural sector and business with developing and promoting the mechanisms of the carbon markets in Thailand and other countries by integrating the cooperation with all sectors to seriously develop awareness and make people interested in the climate changes. This is because if the sectors work together and change today, it is believed that nothing is impossible as always said that “together is possible”.
