On August 9, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment and his wife "58th NATIONAL DAY THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE" H.E. Mr. Kevin Cheok, Ambassador of Singapore to Thailand, welcomed him at Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok.

In the past, Thailand and the Republic of Singapore have a comprehensive cooperation in natural resources and environment. The two sides are working to develop cooperation on carbon credits and look forward to further expanding cooperation among ASEAN countries. Thailand and Singapore are also in the process of drafting a Memorandum of Understanding on Natural Resource Conservation Cooperation between the Department of National Parks, the Wildlife and Plant Conservation Authority of the Kingdom of Thailand, and the National Parks Commission of the Republic of Singapore, focusing on Taxonomy and Ecotourism for Conservation.
