MNRE Engages Tony Blair Institute Representative in High-Level Climate Change Collaborative Dialogue

Today (April 3, 2024), at 11:00 AM, Mr. Jatuporn Buruspat, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, assigned Dr. Chayanan Pakdeejit, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, to welcome and discuss with Mr. Damian Hickey, Regional Director - Southeast Asia, Asia Pacific Advisory from the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI). Mr. Pavich Kasavawong, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Climate Change and Environment, along with related officials, participated in the meeting at Room 304, the 3rd Floor, Department of Climate Change and Environment. The discussions focused on cooperative strategies for climate change, with TBI proposing ideas to support and drive Thailand's climate change goals, including Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), achieving carbon neutrality, and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and 2065, respectively. TBI is ready to support Thailand in technical assistance, capacity building, and technological support.
