MNRE to Showcase at Green Technology Expo 2024, Aiming to Boost Business with Sustainable Solutions

Today (April 17, 2024) at 1:30 PM, Mr. Thalerngsak Phetsuwan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), participated in a press conference announcing the 'Green Technology Expo 2024'. The event, scheduled for October 24-26, 2024, at BITEC Halls 101-102, will showcase technologies and innovations crucial for the future, under the theme "Driving Sustainable Solutions: Advancing Business Through Green Technology.” This expo aims to promote sustainability plans and drive business using green technology, providing a platform for stakeholders from the public sector, technology owners, businesspeople, entrepreneurs, researchers, and the public to meet, exchange experiences, and share knowledge. The event is expected to highlight new technologies and ideas that can extend knowledge, solve problems, and meet the needs of environmentally friendly businesses. Professor Dr. Kasem Wattanachai, Chairman of the Thai-Chinese Science and Technology Association, presided over the press conference held at the Office of Innovation and Cooperation, Chinese Academy of Graduate Studies.

Mr. Thalerngsak expressed great honor and pleasure on behalf of the MNRE to contribute to the sustainable development goals (SDG) and to drive the country's economy through the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG Economy). This initiative is crucial in addressing climate change, which impacts all humanity and life forms. Solutions to global warming require cooperation from all sectors, especially in transforming production processes across industrial, agricultural, and service sectors, utilizing scientific knowledge, technology, and innovation development, alongside government policies and promotion. He expressed high hopes that the expo would elevate the quality of life, increase access to green technology, and foster a circular economy, all under government policies promoting sustainable management of natural resources and the environment.
