MNRE Joins Thai Water Expo 2024 and Water Forum, Advocates for Innovative Water Resource Management Solutions
Today (July 4, 2024) at 9:30 AM, Mr. Jatuporn Buruspat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), assigned Mr. Thalearngsak Petchsuwan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the MNRE, to preside over the opening ceremony of the Thai Water Expo 2024 and Water Forum. Mr. Phetsuwan delivered a keynote speech on "Policy on Water, Environment Management via Green & Smart Technology," emphasizing the importance of integrated and sustainable water resource management to cope with natural disasters. This aligns with the 20-year Water Resource Management Master Plan (2018-2037) and the Water Resources Act 2018. He also highlighted the necessity of collaboration from all sectors to achieve sustainable water resource management, leveraging modern innovations and technologies. This is essential to ensure that future generations, including the youth, have adequate water supply. The event took place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok.
The Thai Water Expo 2024 is a specialized international exhibition and conference on comprehensive water and wastewater management technologies, held from July 3-5, 2024, under the theme "Empowering Water and Environmental Technology for a Climate-Friendly Future in the Asia Pacific." The event features international exhibitions and conferences on water resource and wastewater management technologies, such as water and wastewater management monitoring equipment, rainwater storage systems, particle separation technologies, and various disposal technologies.
