MNRE Welcomes Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at "MHESI FAIR" Opening Ceremony
On July 22, 2024, at 2:30 p.m., Dr. Chayanan Pakdeejit, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, represented Pol. Gen. Phatcharavat Wongsuwan, Minister of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, in welcoming Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at the opening ceremony of the MHESI FAIR: SCI POWER FOR FUTURE THAILAND. This event, hosted by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, aims to promote sustainable economic development in Thailand through interdisciplinary collaboration. The ceremony occurred at Hall 3, Level G, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
The "MHESI FAIR" is an interdisciplinary event that encompasses science, research, technology, innovation, and quality education, showcasing the soft power present in universities and research institutions across the country. The fair features over 170 research institutions nationwide and includes six main exhibition zones: 1) SCIENCE FOR ALL WELL-BEING: Showcasing health and beauty products developed from Thai innovations. 2) CIENCE FOR FUTURE THAILAND: Featuring a future train that envisions Thailand in the next ten years. 3) INSPIRED BY SCIENCE: A zone designed to spark ideas, imagination, and inspiration for all attendees. 4) SCIENCE FOR LIFELONG LEARNING: Opening a world of lifelong learning and providing career guidance for the future. 5) SCIENCE FOR EXPONENTIAL GROWTH: Displaying the potential of Thai research and innovation. 6) STARTUP LAUNCHPAD: Demonstrating the capacity to propel Thai startups toward robust growth. Additionally, there is a Royal Pavilion exhibit honoring Her Royal Highness, along with displays of Thai and international technological innovations. A highlight of the event is the exhibition of a moon rock from the Chang'e 5 spacecraft, shown outside China for the first time in Thailand.
