MNRE Officials Attend Royal Ceremony Marking the First Military Parade and Oath of Allegiance Under King Rama X
On December 3, 2024, at 5:20 PM, Dr. Chalermchai Sri-on, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), accompanied by Mr. Jatuporn Buruspat, MNRE Permanent Secretary, participated in a royal audience to receive His Majesty the King at the Dusit Palace Parade Ground. His Majesty presided over the first military parade and oath-taking ceremony of the Royal Guards in the current reign, organized to celebrate His Majesty’s 72nd birthday on July 28, 2024, under the theme "Royal Guards in Tribute to the King’s 72nd Year."
During the ceremony, Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana led the parade of officers from the Royal Guards Unit and the Royal Guard divisions of the three military branches, serving as Mixed Division Commander. Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya participated in the parade, riding as Royal Cavalry Squadron Commander. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and His Royal Highness Prince Dipangkorn Rasmijoti awaited the royal entourage at the viewing stand.
The ceremonial parade and oath of allegiance by the Royal Guards was held to honor His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of His 72nd birthday on July 28, 2024. This special event served as an opportunity to demonstrate loyalty and respect to the King, who is the Supreme Commander of the Thai Armed Forces. It also marked the first parade and oath-taking ceremony by the Royal Guards in the current reign.
