Assistant Minister of MNRE Joins Special Lecture at Academic Seminar on 'How the Industrial Sector Will Adapt to Lead Thailand Towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)'
On January 23, 2025, at 1:30 PM, Mr. Narapat Kaeothong, MNRE’s Assistant, delivered a keynote lecture at the academic seminar titled “How Can the Industrial Sector Adapt to Lead Thailand Towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?” The event was organized by doctoral students in Industrial Business Administration, 10th Batch, at the Faculty of Business Administration, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB). The seminar was presided over by Prof. Dr. Thanin Silpcharu, President of KMUTNB, and featured honorary guest speakers from the Department of Climate Change and Environment. The session occurred in Room GH203, BITEC Exhibition and Convention Center (Bangna), Bangkok.
During his address, Mr. Narapat highlighted the critical role of the industrial sector in driving economic activities, fostering innovation, and advancing technology. He emphasized that the seminar provided a platform for knowledge exchange and strategic discussions on how Thailand’s industrial sector can remain competitive while adhering to sustainability principles. The discussion focused on integrating ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategies into industrial operations to mitigate climate change effects, drive carbon neutrality, and achieve net-zero emissions. The ultimate goal is to create a sustainable industrial ecosystem and attract long-term economic investments, ensuring the sector’s alignment with sustainable development.
