Today (February 4, 2025), at 9:00 AM, Dr. Chalermchai Sri-on, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), assigned Mr. Prasert Sirinapaporn, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, to represent MNRE at the official launch of the Thailand UK PACT (Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions) project. The event was attended by H.E. Representatives from government agencies, the private sector, and international organizations also participated in the conference, held at the Movenpick BDMS Wellness Resort in Bangkok.

The Thailand UK PACT project is part of the broader UK-Thailand Strategic Partnership 2024–2027, through which the United Kingdom supports Thailand in the areas of finance, climate change, and transportation. The initiative aims to facilitate Thailand’s transition towards a low-carbon economy and society by promoting greenhouse gas reduction and advancing the implementation of Thailand’s forthcoming Climate Change Act. Furthermore, this project serves as a testament to the strong collaboration and enduring relationship between the two nations.
