MNRE Permanent Secretary Gives Special Lecture on Global Environmental Strategy to EGSE Program, Cohort 12: Strategies, Commitments, and International Cooperation on Environmental Issues
Bangkok, May 15, 2025 – Mr. Jatuporn Buruspat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), delivered a special lecture titled “Strategies, Commitments, and International Cooperation on Environmental Issues” to participants of the 12th Cohort of the Certificate Program in Environmental Governance for Senior Executives (EGSE Program, Cohort 12). The session took place at the Aree Samphan Conference Room, Department of Climate Change and Environment.
In his address, Mr. Jatuporn provided an overview of current global and national environmental challenges, including the causes and consequences of natural disasters, as well as strategies for mitigation, adaptation, and resilience against climate change.
He also presented the MNRE’s 20-Year Master Plan, which outlines Thailand’s direction in natural resource and environmental management. This plan aligns with the National Security Policy, Government Policy, related national strategies, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The aim is to promote an integrated and balanced approach to development, ensuring a resilient ecosystem that supports sustainable benefits for all citizens, both domestically and globally.
