MNRE Signs MOU to Integrate and Improve Databases of Vulnerable Groups, Persons with Disabilities, and the Elderly

On 18 June 2025 at 9:00 a.m., Mr. Jatuporn Buruspat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), assigned Mr. Wanchai Jariyasetthachok, Chief Inspector General, to represent the Ministry in the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on “Integration and Enhancement of Databases of Vulnerable Populations and Persons with Disabilities, and the Development of Databases for Individual Rights and Welfare of the Elderly.” Agencies under the Ministry, including the Zoological Park Organization of Thailand and the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, jointly signed the MOU with 29 partner agencies to support relevant environmental information and roles. This collaboration aims to elevate the quality of life for the target groups and advance an inclusive, sustainable society. Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra witnessed the signing ceremony at Santi Maitri Building, Government House.

This initiative integrates the databases of vulnerable groups, persons with disabilities, and the elderly into a unified, complete, and accurate system that can be effectively utilized to promote and improve people’s quality of life. The data will be developed into a central database and information services, such as processing via artificial intelligence and dashboard analytics, to support policy formulation. The agreement also covers cooperation on data sharing, implementation of appropriate activities or projects, and continuous joint meetings to ensure alignment with established objectives.
