MNRE Joins Opening Ceremony of “Sustainability Expo 2025” to Reaffirm Commitment to Driving Sustainable Development
Bangkok, Thailand — September 26, 2025 — At 14:00 hrs, Mr. Sitthichai Sereesongsaeng, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), attended the opening ceremony of the Sustainability Expo 2025 (SX 2025), the sixth edition of Thailand’s premier sustainable development exhibition, held under the theme “Sufficiency for Sustainability.” The event featured key activities such as the SEP Visions Talk and the announcement of the SX Shaper Award 2025.
SX 2025 is regarded as an important platform that demonstrates the collective power of all sectors in advancing sustainable development. It also reaffirms Thailand’s determination to address the challenges posed by climate change, which cannot be resolved in isolation but require integration and collective effort. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will continue to promote proactive measures aimed at achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2050 and Net Zero by 2065, under the guiding principle that “together, we can go further and achieve lasting sustainability.”
At the event, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, through the Department of Climate Change and Environment, organized an exhibition connecting knowledge with action. A highlight was the Climate Clinic, which provided a forum for discussions and exchanges of ideas and recommendations on climate change and environmental issues. Topics included the “Spatial Risk Database for Climate Change,” alongside engaging activities such as educational games on global warming, a message wall for expressing personal reflections about the planet, commemorative photo opportunities, and prize giveaways.
The public is invited to attend the event from September 26 to October 5, 2025, at the Grand Plenary Hall, G Floor, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
