Ms. Raweewan Bhuridej, Ph. D., Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and head of the Thai delegation to the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP17), held bilateral discussions with international organizations and biodiversity cooperation networks to advance biodiversity finance mechanisms and Nature Positive initiatives.

The discussions took place on October 26–27, 2026, at the Meridian Exhibition Center in Yerevan, Armenia.

Ms. Raweewan was accompanied by Mr. Bannaruk Sermthong, Secretary-General of the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP), Mr. Tanit Changthavorn, Ph. D., Director of the Biodiversity-Based Economy Development Office, and senior ministry executives. The delegation held bilateral discussions with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), through its Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN), and the Nature Positive Initiative (NPI). The discussions focused on advancing biodiversity finance mechanisms and Nature Positive initiatives to strengthen funding sources for nature conservation and promote the integration of biodiversity considerations into business operations and investment.
