Today (13 October 2019) at 10.30 AM., H.E. Varawut Silpa-archa, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Chatuporn Burutpat the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of the Natural Resources and Environment together with the senior management executives under the MNRE joined the volunteer activities including landscape improvement, canal clean-up and merit-making ceremony in commemoration of the Memorial Day of His Majesty, the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great.
H.E General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of Thailand, and his wife presided over the merit-making ceremonies and activities and visited an exhibition called “Stream of Care all Over Thailand.” The Prime Minister and his wife engaged in volunteer activities including cleaning-up of the canal beside the Thai Air Force Club Bang Sue, putting in Effective Microorganisms (EM) to treat wastewater at KhlongPrem Prachakon, painting iron fences along the side walkways, visiting the pilot canal treated wastewater using aerator system, improving the landscape and cleaning-up Thammapirataram Temple. More than 1,000 citizens from various organizations and the public, including government and private sectors, joined in with the volunteering endeavours.
