The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) in collaboration with The Mall Group Company Limited pushes forward in inviting the public to join the campaign "Do Good Deeds with the Heart, Reduce Receiving, Reduce Giving, Reduce Using Plastic Bags" to solve the problem of plastic waste. This campaign urges people to start modifying their lifestyle and behavior and use cloth bags or environmentally friendly bags instead of using single-use plastic bags and foam boxes. From 1st January 2020 onward, the leading department stores and big retailers, over 46 stores nationwide who have joined this campaign, will stop handing out single-use plastic bags to their customers and target Thailand ending the use of single-use plastic bags by 2021. This is for a better quality of life, be more environmentally conscious and to be a more sustainable country.

Regarding this collaboration, the use of single-use plastic bags has been reduced by more than 2 billion bags or approximately 5,755 tons, worth more than 400 million baht as well as collecting donated cloth bags, more than 8,000 being given to hospitals.
