Today (14th November 2019), H.E. Varawut Silpa-archa, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, participated in the discussion on "NBT has an answer" regarding the reduction of plastic bags. According to the Cabinet's resolution on 12th November 2019 indicated that on 1st January 2020, department stores and convenience stores, over 49 stores will stop providing single-use plastic bags to their customers. The Minister also mentioned the solution of marine debris issues, including the campaign to stop using single-use plastic bags in the National Park.
