Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment urgently discussed the preparation of giving New Year’s gifts to the citizens for the year 2020.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment held a meeting to discuss the New Year’s gift to the public for the year 2020. The preparation of the New Year’s award for the public is under the concept “7 days of happiness” together with preparing venues through service centers along the public transit paths for people and tourists during this New Year Festival. 
 

Today (3 December 2019) at 13.30, 202 meeting room at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Chatuporn Burutpat, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, was a chair of the meeting the New Year’s gift to the public for the year 2020 along with chief executive officers under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment attending the meeting together. Each organization has prepared the New Year’s gifts and proposed it to the meeting. For example, the gift of the Department of National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation is the public can enter the National Parks free during the New Year. Royal Forest Department will gives precious seed plants, sprout, and orchids for free. Department of Mineral Resources will provide essential jewel and mineral inspection services to the public free of charge in January 2020. 

In the meeting, Mr. Chatuporn Burutpat, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, said the organizations that have centers, units, or stations located along the public transit paths, please arrange places to facilitate the public as service centers on their journey during the New Year Festival as well having exhibition to educate people. The Permanent Secretary requested the organizations to provide special New Year’s gifts to the public under the concept “7 days of happiness” together with promote the campaign to stop using single-use plastic bags and waste management as well.               

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment puts together the information of the New Year’s gifts from all organizations and then will propose to the cabinet.
