The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment joins the event on the National Father's Day, 2019, on the birthday of His Majesty the King Maha Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great. It is also a Father's Day to bow to the blessing. 

Today (5 December 2019) at 07.00, H.E. Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, together with Mr. Jatuporn Buruspat, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and senior exclusives participated in the merit-making ceremony offering food to monks and novices in the amount of 489 images. After that, at 7.45, H.E Mr. Varawut and others joined Phan-Phum Offering and Paying Respect Ceremony in front of the image of His Majesty the King Maha Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, Boromnatbophit. Regarding this ceremony, H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand with his wife, presided over the ceremony offering Phan-Phum in the name of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet. The Prime Minister presented a speech in honor of His Majesty the King and performed obeisance and prostrated in front of the image His Majesty the King Maha Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great Borommanapbophit at Sanam Luang. 

Besides, organizations under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment participated in an exhibition "A Resolution of Goodness .... Have and Share", which applied the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and the King's Philosophy to continue, preserve, and build upon to disseminate the knowledge to the public. For example, the exhibitions include plastic waste management, people living in the forest, providing seedling, giving insight about Wild Animal Reservation and Protection Act and caring animal reserve, etc.   

The Government has set the National Father's Day Festival for the year 2019 during 5 – 14 December 2019 with activities including Phan-Phum flowers offering ceremony, paying respect, activities to honor and commemorate the royal benevolence, and volunteering activities for environmental development and public benefit. Moreover, there is the exhibition called "A resolution of goodness .... have and share". This exhibition shows CSR activities of both government and private sectors, that applied the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and the King's Philosophy to continue, preserve, and build upon to disseminate the knowledge to the public. As well as, another exhibition called "The Model Community of Goodness, the Thai Way of Life as the Father." This exhibition shows the lifestyle of communities that have induced the royal initiative of His Majesty the King Maha Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great used in the community to be successful as a model for other communities. The exhibition is divided into 4 regions, including the north area titled "Forest and Water resurrection," the south region titled "Understanding, Connecting, and Development," the northeastern part called "Strong Community, Integrated Agriculture," and the central area titled "Sufficiency Economy Philosophy." Additionally, there are also public service activities, selling community products, showing folk art and culture, and cooking demonstration of 4 regions cuisine.
