Today (23 January 2020) at 3.30 PM, H.E. Mr. Warawut Silpa-Archa, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment attended the special meeting to brainstorm with government agencies and other related sectors to enhance measures to prevent and fix pollution problems from tiny dust in critical situation. Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment proposed to the Cabinet, on 12 January 2020, to urgently assign the responsible agencies. In this meeting, General Priwit Wongsuwan, Deputy Prime Minister and the chair of the National Environmental Broad, was a chair of the meeting at Ari-Sumpan meeting room, Department of Environmental Quality and Promotion.

After the meeting, General Prawit Wongsuwan stated to the media that the meeting today emphasized all departments to strictly implement measures to prevent and solve pollution problems by following the National Agenda Action Plan “ Solving the dust pollution Problem.” Additionally, he has asked for cooperation from all people to follow measures of the government to bring the problem back to the normal situation. According to the meeting, the Provincial Governor is a single command to solve the pollution problems for each province. For Bangkok, the Governor of Bangkok is a single command to control and operate the solution for pollution problems.
