MNRE visited and inspected the special area management for sustainable management of natural resources and environment: Nan province

Today (12 February 2563) H.E. Mr. Warawut Silpa-Archa, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, provides permit letters for usage or inhabit in national reserved forest areas under the land management project for communities regarding the government  policy of  National Land Policy Committee (NLPC) to the governor of Nan province. The Minister also provides the project documents for organizing the forestland usage for communities under the National Land Policy, NLPC, to the representatives of communities in Nan province for 5 areas. Those areas include Ban Hat Khet, Ban Mueang Luang, Ban Rat Samakkhi, Ban Muang Chang, and Ban Muang Chang Mai Pattana. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister, was the witness on the opportunity to inspect the special area management for sustainable management of natural resources and environment: Nan province. Gen Prayut also gave title deeds to farmers, members of the Farmer Rehabilitation and Development Fund, including showed NAN Sandbox, land allocation for usage and solve deforestation problem at Nan watershed forest at the Nan Provincial Government Auditorium.

            For this visit, the Prime Minister praised the work for sustainable management of natural resources and environment of Nan province (Nan SandBox) in the form of civil state with the cooperation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, private sector, and social civil sectors to support solving natural resources problems. This cooperation helps managing the land to be balanced for the benefit of the public, including occupation and living at the usual standard by not destroying natural forest areas of the province and sustainable forest conservation. Moreover, the Prime Minister also emphasized about the forest fire and burning in the open air. Everyone has to help to solve the problems and to find prevention methods that will have effects in the long-term such as planting forests, increasing moisture, and creating fire protection lines, etc.
