ทส. หารือธนาคารโลก จัดทำโครงการจัดการขยะพลาสติกทะเลในประเทศไทยและอาเซียน พร้อมสนับสนุนงบประมาณ
กระทรวงทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม ประชุมหารือร่วมกับธนาคารโลก เกี่ยวกับการจัดทำโครงการจัดการขยะพลาสติกทะเลในประเทศไทยและอาเซียน และสนับสนุนงบประมาณจากธนาคารโลก
วันที่ 3 เมษายน 2562 เวลา 13.30 น. ณ ห้อง 301 อาคารกระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม นายวิจารย์ สิมาฉายา ปลัดกระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม พร้อมด้วย นายปิ่นสักข์ สุรัสวดี รองอธิบดีกรมทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่ง และผู้แทนกรมควบคุมมลพิษ ร่วมให้การต้อนรับ นางสาวเบอร์กิต แฮนเซิล ผู้จัดการฝ่ายกิจการประเทศไทยของธนาคารโลก และคณะ ร่วมประชุมหารือเกี่ยวกับการดำเนินโครงการจัดการขยะพลาสติกทะเลในประเทศไทยและอาเซียน และงบประมาณที่จะสนับสนุนจากธนาคารโลก

Meeting with World Bank Representatives on a global multi-donor PROBLUE Trust Fund on Marine Plastics Management
On Wednesday 3 April, 2019 (1:30 pm) Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, MNRE (Dr. Wijarn Simachaya) has attended the meeting with representatives from World Bank (WB) led by Country Manager for Thailand (Ms. Birgit Hansl), along with Practice Manager (Mr. Christophe Crepin) at MNRE Building, Bangkok. Deputy Director-General of Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (Dr. Pinsak Suraswadi), as well as officials from Pollution Control Department and Office of Permanent Secretary of MNRE, has also participated in the meeting.
The main topic is to discuss about the potential and process of WB on supporting Thailand, Chair of ASEAN 2019, and other member countries on marine plastics and waste management in regional and national levels via PROBLUE Trust Fund. Furthermore, work plan, timeframe and other collaborations are considered for the proposal preparation in line with Bangkok Declaration on Combating Marine Debris in ASEAN Region and other relevant ASEAN framework.
